massage therapy for relaxation + pain relief
Massage can help ease unpleasant symptoms of tension and discomfort while creating an opportunity for you to unwind into deep relaxation and grounding.
listen to your body and help it heal
With everything happening in our busy lives and this wild world, making time for our own self-care can be at the end of our long to-do lists. Your body will always send clues when it’s time to listen. Tension, pain, aches, anxiety and stress are all just taps on your tight shoulders, letting you know it’s time to put focus back into your body and start making changes.
Massage helps keep your body + mind in balance.
Massage is not only enjoyable, but also clinically proven for pain relief, decreasing inflammation, and facilitating natural healing processes. By taking the time to put intentional energy back into your body, allows the mind to slow, relax, and restoratively reset.

- Since your WFH setup, the tension in your back and shoulders has easily doubled! Giving you headaches, jaw discomfort and making focusing on tasks extra challenging.
- After chasing your adorable (but very busy) toddler around, you strained your back scooping them up into your arms and that nagging shoulder blade pain that followed just won’t let up.
- You went on an incredible, though longer than usual trail run, to clear your head. And since, your knee pain has been making it difficult to regularly exercise and keep your stress levels in check.
We’re here to get you ahead of those unwanted, nagging symptoms and set the tone for how you really want to feel. Back in your body and ready to keep moving!

The nervous system processes the changes that happen by releasing natural opioid-like hormones, such as serotonin and relaxin, which in turn decreases pain while bringing you to a place of deep relaxation and calm.
Massage therapy is an excellent option for focusing on compensatory issues that arise as you rehab from injury. If you have a more severe injury such as recovering from surgery, have a more severe tear of a muscle or ligament or have a more complicated issue to address, it’s usually best to start with Physio for your rehab plan and then utilize massage therapy for ongoing maintenance of flare ups, pain and to put more focus on the body in a more holistic sense – not just addressing one direct issue.
Depending on how in-depth your treatment was, it’s normal to feel some tenderness in areas that were more deep tissue focused, either in the evening or the next day following a massage. Usually it’s just a little tender to the touch from the muscles being worked through and at times can have a bit of “kick back” discomfort in more clinical based treatments for rehab.
Otherwise, you should feel relaxed, grounded and renewed. With better awareness of your posture and how much of a shift you feel from when you first arrived!
